October 3rd-Walled Lake Art Festival 11am to 5pm
October 9th, 10th (10am-6pm) and 11th (10am-4pm)- Charlevoix Apple Festival
October 17th- Grandville High School arts and crafts show 10am to 3pm

Shows in September

I will have a booth at Wheatland Bluegrass Festival on September 11, 12 and 13.

I will have a booth at the Eastown Street Fair on September 19

I will have a booth at Fallasburg Fall Festival on September 26 and 27 from 10-5 both days.

Happy Wheatland!

It is official people! I will be an arts and crafts vendor at the 2009 Wheatland Festival. You have no idea how thrilling this is for me. Wheatland is a huge festival with around 10,000 people in attendance every year. That is huge! The arts and crafts area is only around 40 vendors, so for the jury commitee to have selected my work is such an honor. The shrunky has just moved to a whole new level. I could not have done it without the awesome photos that Amy took for me. Thanks a million friend!

Just some pictures

I am excited to get started on my new year of craft shows ahead! I have been putting together some picture collages so I can have slides made for my Wheatland Bluegrass Music Festival application. I thought I would share the collages. Wish me luck on getting into the Wheatland show!

I did it. I have joined the world of all you crazy blogging people. The purpose of this blog is to share with everyone the things that I have recently made and to announce upcoming events that I am involved in.

For those of you that are not familiar with my work, I will tell a little of what it is that I do. For a little over a year now, I have been creating fun new items out of recycled wool sweaters. In doing this, I get to enjoy the thrill of the hunt finding great sweaters at secondhand stores. I have always loved thrift shopping and sweaters, so this really is a dream come true for me. I am now very passionate about what I do.

I have completed two local craft shows so far. I did well and loved seeing people enjoying my product. I am currently making adult mittens and fingerless gloves, children's mittens (which are also available at Hop Scotch Children's Store), stuffed horses, baby blankets, purses, pins, and wreaths.

These are a pair of children's mittens that I made. They were my all time favorite! They sold this week. I will miss you Santa mittens!
